Gerald W. Livingston, an attorney, President and founder of The Livingston Law Firm, P. C., has extensive experience in the representation of claims and trial of cases. Since he began his practice in 1967 he has voluntarily limited his practice to the representation of individuals in their efforts to obtain justice.

Mr. Livingston began his legal career as an associate attorney with Bean, Francis, Ford, Frances and Wills in Dallas, Texas, where he was privileged to learn personal injury claims and litigation practice on behalf of individuals from some of the best trail lawyers in the area. In 1972 he and three others formed the personal injury law firm of Ford, Livingston & Needham, in Dallas, Texas, where he remained until 1981 when, he as President formed Livingston & Hundley, a Professional Corporation and thereafter formed The Livingston Law Firm, P.C..

Education/Background

Gerald W. Livingston is a native of Texas reared from early childhood in New Mexico, but replanted to Dallas. After finishing public school, he voluntarily joined the United States Army where he saw service in this country and in Italy. After Honorable Discharge, he returned to Dallas to continue his education and to pursue the study of law. He obtained an undergraduate Bachelor's Degree in Arts and Science at Southern Methodist University and a graduate law degree from the Law School at Southern Methodist University. He was licensed by the State of Texas to practice law in 1967.


From the beginning of his law practice, he voluntarily limited the great majority of his cases to representing individuals in their struggle for justice and desire to obtain reasonable compensation.


In addition to being a Trial Lawyer, he is a qualified Mediator in all but Domestic Relations Cases. Because of his long experience in the field of personal claims and litigation, he serves as a mediator by private selection or court appointment, and when asked, he volunteers his time through the Dallas Dispute Mediation Services to assist in the resolution of cases that come before that organization.

Mr. Livingston is a member of the Texas State Bar, the Dallas County Bar Association, Tarrant County Bar Association, American Trial Lawyers Association, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association, a graduate of regional seminars sponsored by the Trial Lawyers College of the famous attorney Gerry Spence, a panel member of the State Bar of Texas District 6A, Grievance Committee in Dallas, a member of the Bar College of the State of Texas and a member of the legal fraternity of Phi Delta Phi - Monteith Inn in Dallas.

Hobbies - Outside Interests

Mr. Livingston's principal interests outside the practice of law are writing travel and technical articles, landscape painting, travel to far away places, reading of ancient Egyptian, European and American History, all with an emphasis on original documents of historical importance in the development of Western Civilization and Law, the utilization of Computers in the practice of law, client communication, and research and he is a crossword puzzle fanatic.
